Paperwork

Upon booking your New Patient Assesment you will be sent your intake forms by either fax or email. These forms are detailed in order to give the doctor the most accurate view of your health, therefore we ask that you print them off and bring them completed with you to your exam.

History and Examination

In order to determine what your problem is you will recieve a computerized nervous system scan. This scan will provide a great starting point for you care, and will be repeated throughout your care plan to demonstrate improvement. Next, the doctor will ask you various questions about your health history and quality of life issues as well as assess your range of motion.

X-ray Studies

Although we do not take x-rays in our office, we do refer new patients for them to assist us in developing the most effective care plan for you. In this case you will be referred to an Alberta Healthcare radiology facility, which is covered by your provincial insurance company.

Home Instructions

Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.

Results of Test (Second Visit)

You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 3-4 days in order to have ample time to recieve x-rays and return the disc to the office. On this second visit you will recieve a full results of test report, the doctor will recommend your care plan as well as give you your first adjustment! The Chiropractic Assistants will book your full care plan with you, which usually consists of 12 visits as well as a Special Consult appointment.

Special Consult

Our Special Consult is where you will learn the amazing philosophy behind Chiropractic. You will learn what to do and not do in order to live a healthy lifestyle and how to get the most out of your care in the least amount of time. We strongly recommend every new patient attend a Special Consult, and we also encourage you to bring a guest!
